Since its founding in 1946, the Council on Employee Relations (formerly the Labor Relations Council) has served as an important forum for the exchange of ideas between Philadelphia area executives involved in human resource management and labor relations and Wharton School faculty members who pursue research in these areas. Members, who include senior human resources executives from companies with major facilities in Philadelphia and the surrounding tri-state area, attend six dinner meetings held at the Wharton School during the academic year.

• Each academic year, the Council sponsors six dinner meetings, held at the Inn at Penn on the University of Pennsylvania campus, featuring prominent speakers from government, industry, unions, or academia. Members, who include senior human resources executives from companies with major facilities in Philadelphia and surrounding communities, participate in lively question and answer sessions covering a wide range of contemporary human resource and employee relations issues.
